Background and Purpose: One of the influential components in the façades of private residences is the color of buildings, and the choice is mostly made by clients. This choice not only affects the building’s aesthetics but also reflects the individual preferences and temperaments of clients. This issue can lead to optimized design and a better understanding of people's behavior at social, individual, and traditional medicine levels. Shiraz city, with diverse social context and cultures, provides a suitable setting for this topic. Materials and Methods: This descriptive-analytical study aims to clarify the influence of client temperament on the selection of color for private residential façades in Shiraz. To conduct this study, 136 clients of Shiraz who visited Municipality District 2 during 2022-2023 were selected using randomized sampling. Subsequently, data were collected using the Temperament Assessment Questionnaire (Dr. Mojahedi) and by selecting façade images in various colors. The data were analyzed with SPSS Statistics version 27.0.1 using Chi-square tests, Cramer’s V, and correlation (or correspondence) analysis, and finally the relationships among the components were examined. Results: The results show a relationship between temperament and the color choice of residential façade spaces in Shiraz. The Chi-square test results indicate a significance level of less than 0.01, suggesting that this relationship is statistically meaningful. Conclusion: Based on the selections of participants, individuals with hot and temperate temperaments show a strong preference for ochre color. Those with similar temperaments (hot and dry, hot and wet, temperate and dry, cold and temperate) prefer white. Additionally, individuals with temperaments that are temperate and wet have the greatest inclination toward brown and white, while those with cold and wet temperaments prefer peach color.
