The online peer review system is designed to speed up the review process of articles by journal or conference reviewers. The general steps of this process are as follows:
Registration of the reviewer as a user in the journal site
Note: This step is usually performed by the site administrator.
In order to be assigned as a reviewer in the journal site, you must first register as a user. Accordingly, complete the site membership form. This form will be available to you at the following address:
the site url/form_register.php
Granting access to the reviewer and determining their expertise
Note: This step is usually performed by the site administrator.
After user registration, the site administrator can grant special access to the reviewer via the Electronic review > Introduction of reviewer section, and specify the expertise of the reviewer.
Determining the article for review and sending an electronic message
Note: This step is usually performed by the site administrator.
After specifying the reviewer settings, the site administrator can grant them access to articles. At the same time, an e-mail is sent to the reviewers informing them of the process.
Logging in to the journal site with the provided username and password
To log in to the site, enter your username and password in the corresponding boxes on the main page.
Remember: If you are the only person using your computer, you can automatically log in to the site on subsequent visits by checking the "Auto Login" option.
Password recovery
If you enter your password incorrectly, you will be redirected to the retry page. You can go to the password recovery page and enter your email address to have a new password sent to you.
The direct address to enter this page is as follows:
the site url/pass_req.php
Remember:
Replace " the site url" with the appropriate website address. For example, if you are logged in to the radiology journal site, the address should be changed as follows:
http://www.ijrr.com/pass_req.php
Entering the review section and receiving the article
You can use the navigation bar at the top of the pages to enter the review section and view the list of articles designated for reviewing. You can also use this bar to navigate to other parts of the website.
Remember:
The navigation bar at the top of the pages can be viewed after logging in to your account (i.e., entering your username and password).
Completing the peer review process of the journal site
In the review section, you will see three different lists of articles:
1. List of new articles
New articles include articles that have recently been added to the list for peer review. After opening these items, you can withdraw from the review or complete the peer review form.
2. Uncompleted reviews
Uncompleted reviews include the list of articles, for which the review process has not been completed. You can review these articles again and change your opinions if needed.
3. Approved reviews
Since you have confirmed your comments on these articles, the site administrators have taken into account your opinion for selection of articles. Therefore, approved reviews are listed on this page only for viewing peer review results (and not changing them).
